The Patricia A. Longwell-Wera collection consists of a transcript and audiocassette recording of an interview conducted between Longwell-Wera and Traci Rae Parent during the spring of 1990. In the interview, Longwell-Wera discussed her twenty-five year career as a professor of foreign language at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota. Specifically, she focused upon the changing relationships between faculty and administration caused in part from the Vietnam War, the economy, and the public's changing political proclivities. This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for the graduate level Educational Foundations course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
